Etched and Hand-Carved Singing Bowls

This collection combines two related surface-decoration techniques: etching and manual carving. The designs remain shallow and largely superficial rather than deeply cut into the metal. They are therefore different from the pronounced deep carving found on some Full Moon or Sun Moon bowls.

The designs do not claim to improve the sound. Their value is visual and, for many customers, spiritual. Common motifs include Om Mani Padme Hum, Buddha Eyes, the Double Dorje, the Endless Knot, the Flower of Life, chakra symbols and other Buddhist, Hindu and yogic designs.

The Same HSB 7 Metal Base

These bowls use the same alloy base as our HSB 7 Metal Singing Bowls. It is primarily a bronze base close to 80% copper and 20% tin, with iron, lead, zinc, silver and gold present only in very small trace quantities.

The decoration is applied after the bowl has been formed and does not constitute a different sound-quality grade. The size remains the main selection criterion on this page.

Available Sizes and Approximate Weights

Each size represents a diameter interval. For example, a 12 cm bowl measures from 12.0 to 12.9 cm. Weights are approximate averages because every bowl is handmade.

How the Standard Designs Are Supplied

The exact symbol is not selectable for a normal order. We supply one of the designs currently available in the selected size. This allows us to keep the collection in stock and dispatch orders efficiently.

For a repeated series with a specific traditional motif, contact us through WhatsApp before ordering. A business logo, proprietary artwork or a completely original inscription falls outside this product and should be requested through our customization service.

Carved vs. Super Fine Carved

Both collections use the same HSB bowl and alloy base. This Carved collection uses shallow etching and hand carving, while the Super Fine Carved collection uses much denser and more detailed laser engraving. The difference is primarily the finish and level of visual detail, not a separate alloy or claimed improvement in sound.

The base price is €56 per kilogram. Automatic discounts apply at €500, €1,000 and €2,000, reaching 15% and approximately €48 per kilogram. Shipping is calculated separately according to the total weight and delivery country.

• Avoid abrasive products and harsh chemicals that could affect the etched finish.
• Dry the bowl completely before storage.
• Use an appropriately sized striker and a cushion when required.

Yes, but logo work and proprietary designs belong to our separate customized singing bowl service rather than this standard product.

Are the bowls selected by musical note?
