Welcome to Singing Bowl Center: Where Soulful Sounds Meet Handcrafted Splendor
Step into the realm of Healing Singing Bowls, nestled in the heart of Kathmandu, close to the bustling Thamel area. We're not just a shop; we're a family passionate about sharing the soothing beauty of handmade crafts with everyone.
A Legacy of Tradition
Our family has been crafting metal treasures for generations, following the rich traditions of Newari craftsmanship. In Newari culture, metalwork holds a special significance, passed down through families as a cherished heritage. The intricate artistry of metalwork, including bronze plates used in weddings and other important ceremonies, reflects the deep cultural roots of the Newar people in the Kathmandu Valley.
For decades, we have continued this legacy by meticulously handcrafting singing bowls, each imbued with the essence of Kathmandu's valley. This tradition isn't just about making beautiful objects; it's about preserving a way of life, honoring our ancestors, and connecting with our cultural identity.
Our Products: Crafted with Precision and Tradition
At Healing Singing Bowls, we are proud to manufacture four distinct types of traditional Nepalese instruments, each crafted with the utmost care and respect for the ancient traditions of our heritage.
1. Singing Bowls
Our singing bowls are meticulously hand-hammered by skilled artisans, ensuring each piece produces a unique, resonant tone. These bowls are crafted using a blend of metals, inspired by ancient techniques passed down through generations. Whether used for meditation, sound therapy, or as a spiritual tool, our singing bowls are designed to bring harmony and tranquility into your life. Explore our Singing Bowls
2. Gongs
Our gongs are powerful instruments that resonate with deep, profound tones. These large, circular metal discs are crafted using traditional techniques to produce sound waves that can be felt as well as heard. Often used in ceremonies, sound therapy, and musical compositions, our gongs are valued for their ability to create a meditative atmosphere. Discover our Gongs
3. Bells
Tibetan bells, or "Ghantas," are integral to many spiritual practices, symbolizing wisdom and the sound of enlightenment. Our bells are intricately designed and cast from high-quality metals to ensure they produce a clear, pure tone. Each bell is not only a musical instrument but also a sacred object used in rituals and meditation practices. Learn more about our Bells
4. Tingshas
Tingshas are small, high-pitched cymbals traditionally used in Tibetan ceremonies and rituals. Crafted with precision, our tingshas produce a sharp, clear sound that is believed to help in clearing energy and creating a focused, meditative state. These instruments are often used in sound healing practices and are cherished for their ability to bring clarity and balance to the mind and spirit. Find out more about our Tingshas
