Make a singing bowl your own with a logo, name, symbol, musical note, frequency reference or custom design.

At Healing Singing Bowls (HSB), we customize handmade singing bowls in Nepal using laser engraving, traditional hand engraving and different combinations of finishes and patinas.

Whether you need a few personalized bowls, a custom gift, products for a studio or a branded order, we first review your design and the bowl you want to customize. This allows us to recommend a method that will actually work on the finished metal.

What Can You Customize on a Singing Bowl?

Depending on the bowl, its size and the engraving method, we can personalize singing bowls with:

  • your company or personal logo;
  • a name or short text;
  • symbols and line-art designs;
  • musical notes such as C, D, E, F, G, A or B;
  • frequency references where appropriate;
  • simple decorative motifs;
  • different logo sizes and placements;
  • custom combinations of engraving and patina.

You can select bowls from our handmade singing bowl collection, and we can advise you if one bowl type is better suited to your design than another.

Laser Engraving or Traditional Hand Engraving?

Not every logo should be engraved in the same way. The right technique depends mainly on the complexity of the design, the size of the bowl and the visual result you want.

Laser Engraving for Fine and Precise Logos

Laser engraving is generally our preferred technique for detailed logos, fine lettering and designs requiring precise lines.

It allows us to reproduce details that would be difficult or impossible to achieve cleanly with traditional hand engraving, particularly on smaller bowls.

Laser engraving also gives us several possibilities for the final appearance. Depending on the bowl and finish, the engraving can appear:

  • dark or almost black;
  • charcoal grey;
  • lighter grey;
  • subtle and tone-on-tone;
  • or as natural golden metal contrasting against a darker patina.

For example, we can apply a patina to the bowl and then use the laser to remove the patina only where the logo appears. This reveals the natural metal underneath and creates a clean contrast.

Traditional Hand Engraving

Hand engraving provides a more traditional and rustic appearance. It is particularly suitable for bold lettering, simple symbols and designs where the handmade character is part of the desired result.

We can work with lighter or deeper traditional engraving depending on the design. Deeper hand engraving can create a stronger relief and a distinctly artisanal finish.

However, very thin lines or highly intricate logos are not good candidates for hand engraving. In those cases, we will normally recommend laser engraving instead.

Your Logo Has to Work on the Actual Bowl

One of the most important parts of customization is adapting the design to the physical size of the product.

A detailed logo may look excellent on a large singing bowl but become unclear when reduced to fit an 11 cm bowl.

In the same way, using exactly the same logo dimensions across every bowl size can create poor proportions.

Before production, we therefore review:

  • the level of detail in your logo;
  • line thickness;
  • available engraving area;
  • bowl diameter;
  • logo placement;
  • the required contrast;
  • and the engraving technique.

If something is unlikely to work well, we tell you before engraving the bowl and suggest an alternative whenever possible.

What File Should You Send Us?

You do not necessarily need a professional engraving file to start.

A clear, high-resolution PNG or JPG is usually enough for us to review the idea.

The most important point is that the logo itself is sharp and clearly visible.

If your original logo contains several colors, keep in mind that engraving does not reproduce colors like printing.

Instead, we interpret the design through the metal itself: engraved lines, contrast, laser intensity, exposed metal and patina.

If necessary, we can discuss how to simplify or adapt the design before production.

Customize Bowls With Notes or Frequencies

Personalization can go beyond a logo.

A set of singing bowls can carry the same overall design while each individual bowl includes its corresponding musical note:

C · D · E · F · G · A · B

Frequency references can also be added when appropriate.

This is useful when creating a customized singing bowl set where each bowl needs to remain individually identifiable.

Choose the Bowl and Finish That Fits Your Design

The same logo can look very different depending on the bowl underneath it.

A classic seven-metal singing bowl offers a traditional handmade appearance and works with a wide range of patinas and engraving styles.

More refined bowl types, such as Patan bowls, may be better suited to particularly fine or premium-looking designs.

We can also adjust the relationship between engraving and finish. For example, a subtle tone-on-tone logo can create a discreet result, while exposed golden metal against a dark patina produces much stronger contrast.

If you are unsure, send us the design first. We can recommend a practical combination rather than asking you to choose blindly.

How Customized Singing Bowl Orders Work

1. Send Us Your Design

Send your logo, text, symbol or artwork to HSB through WhatsApp or our contact page.

Contact HSB on WhatsApp or send us your request here.

2. We Check Feasibility

We review the bowl size, logo detail, intended placement and engraving method.

If we see a technical problem, we discuss it with you before production.

3. We Agree on the Design and Bowl

We confirm the bowl, finish, engraving style and placement. For projects where visualization is useful, we can also prepare a mock-up before producing the final bowl.

4. We Customize the Bowl in Nepal

The engraving and finishing are completed according to the agreed design.

5. We Check the Result

We inspect the customized bowl before packing and can provide photos of the finished work.

6. We Pack and Ship Your Order

Once approved and checked, the customized bowls are securely packed and included in your shipment.

Can I Order Just One Customized Singing Bowl?

Our usual minimum order value is approximately €200 or the equivalent in another currency, although there can be some flexibility depending on the project.

Pricing note: a singing bowl personalized with a logo costs 20% more than the same bowl without engraving, regardless of the logo type.

A single large singing bowl may already reach that value. For smaller bowls, it generally makes more sense to customize several pieces within the same order.

If you are unsure whether your project is practical, simply send us the bowl size and design you have in mind.

Personalized Gifts and Professional Orders

Customized bowls are not limited to private-label brands.

They can also be made for personal or professional projects such as:

  • a special gift or commemorative bowl;
  • yoga or meditation studios;
  • sound practitioners;
  • wellness centers and spas;
  • hotels and hospitality projects;
  • corporate gifts;
  • retailers requiring a small branded order.

For companies planning to develop a complete branded collection, product range or recurring supply relationship, our Launch Your Own Singing Bowl Brand service is the better place to start.

Customization Restrictions

Not every singing bowl in the HSB catalogue can be privately customized.

Certain specialist artisan collections retain their own identity and are not available for custom branding.

This includes specific bowls produced by Santa Ratna Shakya and Sajan Tapaila, including certain Full Moon, Om, Om Black Edition and related artisan collections.

If your preferred bowl cannot be customized, we can usually suggest another product with a similar positioning or character.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you engrave my company logo?

Yes, provided the design is technically suitable for the bowl and the available engraving area. Detailed logos are generally better suited to laser engraving.

Can you engrave names or text?

Yes. Names, short messages, lettering and other simple text can be incorporated depending on the bowl size and design.

Can you reproduce my logo in several colors?

No. Engraving is not color printing. We create visual contrast through the engraved surface, laser intensity, exposed metal and the bowl's patina.

Can you engrave a very detailed logo?

Often yes with laser engraving, but the result also depends on the size of the bowl and the thickness of the design elements. We review this before production.

Can I add the musical note to the logo?

Yes. The same branding can be adapted so that each bowl includes its individual note.

Can you add a frequency?

Yes, where appropriate and where the available space allows it.

Can you make a visual mock-up before engraving?

Yes, when it is useful for evaluating placement, proportions, finish or the overall direction of the design.

Can I use the same logo on different bowl sizes?

Yes, but the dimensions may need to change between bowls to maintain good proportions and readability.

Have a Design in Mind?

Send us your logo or idea together with the bowl or approximate size you would like to customize.
