Longer reach for bowls and compatible gongs
The OM Sajan Mallet is the longer model in this accessory pair. Its reach is useful when a singing bowl or compatible gong is larger, placed on the floor or mounted on a stand, while the felt head supports a controlled striking gesture.
Start softly and listen to the instrument
With a singing bowl, set the instrument securely, make a light first strike and allow the sound to develop before playing again. With a gong, check that the instrument is stable and that the handle clears the frame. Test away from anyone's ear and increase force only when the instrument, room and listening distance require it. Compatibility should be checked on the actual gong rather than assumed from size alone.
Construction, comparison and care
The mallet has a wooden handle with a premium copper-plated outer finish and a felt head; the handle is not solid copper. Keep the felt dry, wipe the plated surface gently and store the mallet without compressing its head. For close control plus rim playing on a singing bowl, compare the compact OM Sajan Stick.
