Kalyan Tamrakar and Cottage Craft Nepal
Cottage Craft Nepal manufactures singing bowls and other traditional metal crafts in Lalitpur. The company combines Nepali metalworking experience with production for international wholesale and retail customers.
Kalyan Tamrakar is both a craftsman and a sound practitioner. Mokshya presents him as a dedicated sound healer since 2010. This practical experience informs the way he develops and evaluates the Patan collection.

What Makes Patan Singing Bowls Different?
Patan Singing Bowls use Kalyan Tamrakar's own seven-metal alloy. The alloy remains based on the traditional seven-metal approach, but its exact ratios and the quality specifications of each metal are proprietary and are not published.
The collection is distinguished primarily by precise, fine hammering and a carefully finished profile. Patan bowls are generally thinner and lighter than standard HSB 7 Metal bowls. For a given diameter, they therefore tend to produce a lower fundamental note while also often costing less per size, even though their price per kilogram is higher.
This is a different construction and sound profile rather than a claim that every Patan bowl is categorically superior to every other collection.
Available Patan Products
The individual Patan Singing Bowls are available from 12 to 28 cm. They are ordered by size, with each size corresponding to a diameter interval. Note selection based on the fundamental frequency with a deviation strictly below 3% is available through the appropriate note-selection service.
For practitioners who need a complete tuned group of instruments, HSB also distributes the Set of Patan Singing Bowls.
