The OM Sajan Full Moon Bowl is the most exclusive collection developed by Sajan Thapaliya, a Nepalese master sound therapist and creator of the OM Sajan ranges. It uses an alloy that is distinct from both the standard OM Sajan and OM Sajan Black Edition collections.
What makes the OM Sajan Full Moon Bowl different?
- Exclusive alloy: the composition and proportions are specific to this collection and remain confidential.
- Full-moon alloy preparation: the metals are melted and the alloy is prepared during the full moon. The bowls are then hand-hammered during the normal production process.
- Premium sound profile: rich harmonics, clear projection and long sustain make this range particularly suitable for experienced practitioners, sound baths and professional sessions.
- Distinct identity: the moon-phase motif, OMSAJAN inscription and “Om Som Somaya Namaha” mantra identify the collection.
A different full-moon tradition
The OM Sajan Full Moon process should not be confused with the tradition used for Santa Ratna Shakya’s Full Moon Bowls. For OM Sajan Full Moon, the alloy is melted during the full moon; Santa Ratna Shakya’s tradition centres on a Puja followed by hammering during the full-moon night. These are two distinct collections, makers and production methods.
Choosing a size
Smaller bowls are easier to handle and generally produce higher fundamental notes. Larger bowls provide more projection, lower fundamentals and stronger physical vibration. The exact note varies from one handmade bowl to another. For selection by note, video control or a specific project, contact us on WhatsApp before ordering.
